Amazonian tribes have used Acai Berries for centuries as a medicinal cure. Today they’re known as the top-ranked antioxidant food with immune-boosting properties. We have combined them with nutrient rich Moringa, Pomegranate and Beetroot to provide support for immunity, energy, bones, hair, skin, nails and more.
Strengthen your body’s immune system against free radicals which cause illness and the effects of ageing with this all-natural antioxidant super blend.
Why Are Free-Radicals so Bad?
Free radicals damage our cells by de-stabilising molecules causing oxidative stress. Continuous oxidative stress weakens our immune system as damaged cells are not able to fight off infection as efficiently as healthy ones. They also cause signs of ageing in the skin as damaged cells lead to wrinkles and dull skin tone.
Antioxidants keep these free radicals in check by stopping oxidative stress keeping our immune system strong and fighting the effects of ageing.
Our Acai Berry Immune Defence provides potent antioxidant protection against free radicals which harm the immune system and cause signs of ageing.
PLUS 8 other immune-boosting ingredients
We combine the power of Acai Berries with Moringa, Beetroot, Pomegranate, Resveratrol, Grape Seed, Zinc, Vitamin B6 and Biotin which all have proven ability to boost your immune system.
Acai berry: found only in the Amazon rainforests of Central and South America, these berries contain a wide array of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Their dark purple pigment contains plant chemicals called anthocyanins (powerful antioxidants that are part of the flavonoid family of molecules and are important for neutralising harmful free radicals). They are also a rich source of protein and dietary fibre, which are believed to have a protective effect on the cardiovascular system and are a rich source of Omega 6 and Omega 9 fatty acids, as well as phytosterols, which play an important role in lowering the levels of cholesterol in the blood. Plus they’re revered for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Moringa oleifera: native to the southern foothills of the Himalayas in north-western India this wonder plant is packed with B vitamins, vitamin C, provitamin A as beta-carotene, vitamin K, manganese, and protein, among other nutrients. It also has a high polyphenol content which increases the antioxidant capacity in the blood and enhances T cell immunity.
Beetroot: a rich source of potent antioxidants and other essential nutrients, including magnesium, manganese, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, soluble fibre, calcium, iron, vitamins A, B and C, folic acid and betaine. Beetroot’s carotenoids and flavonoids can help to support liver function, as well as reduce the oxidation of “bad” LDL cholesterol, which could lead to damaged artery walls and ultimately heart attacks and strokes.
Pomegranate: high in vitamins A, C, E and iron. An important traditional remedy in Ayurvedic medicine, it is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory and an astringent. Medicine has also shown the anti-inflammatory properties of pomegranate polyphenols have been shown to offer protection against atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. They have also been shown to protect the skin from sun damage and to promote the production of collagen.
Resveratrol: Found in the skin of red grapes and in other fruits, but derived primarily from Japanese knotweed, resveratrol is a type of natural phenol produced naturally by several plants when under attack by pathogens, such as bacteria or fungi. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, blood sugar-lowering and other beneficial cardiovascular effects have been reported.
Zinc: is vital for growth and wound healing, zinc is also a powerful antioxidant and immune system booster, helping to protect you from infection. It is also thought to be important for brain function, a healthy nervous system and mental alertness. As an antioxidant and immune system booster, zinc can help to reduce pain and inflammation.
Grape seed extract: contains a wide array of polyphenols it also supports heart health by protecting collagen, which is essential for healthy arteries. Studies have shown that the antioxidant power of polyphenols is 20 times greater than vitamin E, and 50 times greater than vitamin C, which makes grape seed extract an ideal means of protecting the body against oxidative and free radical damage. One particular type of phenol found in grapeseed is called procyanidin, which can support good vision, joint flexibility, the health of body tissues and strengthen capillaries and veins to help improve the circulatory system. Procyanidin is also thought to protect the body from premature ageing.
Vitamin B6: contributes to the function of the immune system, the regulation of hormonal activity, energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Biotin: contributes to energy-yielding metabolism, the functioning of the nervous system, psychological function, hair and skin.
